No doubt you are already praying for our friends and family in Oklahoma City. We are mobilizing support and you can get involved in these three ways:
Continue to pray often
Thank you for your continued prayers for our neighbors in Oklahoma as they continue to sort through the damage caused by the storms on May 20. Divine help cannot be over-emphasized. The prayer room is always open at the Olathe Campus. Join us for special prayer gatherings scheduled Monday through Friday at 7am, noon, and 6pm through June 6.
Donate financially through the National Christian Foundation
The National Christian Foundation has set up a relief fund and will match gifts up to $1 million. Double your gifts by contributing to the NCF Tornado Relief fund. You can also text "NCF" to 52000 to make a $10 donation from your mobile phone.
Volunteer or support one of our projects
We're coordinating with partners in Oklahoma City in order to discern how we can be of the most help and service in that area. Many volunteers will be needed over the coming months, and Indian Creek plans to help with the recovery process throughout the year.
At this time, our partners are coordinating efforts to assist property owners recover personal items lost in the storm and help with the initial debris clean up. Indian Creek will send a delegation to Moore, OK on Friday, June 21- Sunday, June 23.
If you would like to volunteer to help with clean up, donate necessary supplies, or financially support this trip, please take a moment to sign up here (ages 14-18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian). A list of necessary supplies will be distributed soon. The deadline to register for the trip is June 16th. More trips may be planned throughout the summer. Please keep an eye on our website, Facebook, and Twitter for more information.
Indian Creek has plans to work with our partners to adopt an Oklahoma family in need of assistance. It will be a chance for Creekers to help provide financial, material, and spiritual support as we help this family replace items lost in the storm. More information will be out later this summer.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the OKC Tornado Relief, please email Jenna Gaeddert, Olathe Campus Coordinator, at email@example.com.
